Gabby's 5th Birthday!

Gabby got to choose the toy that went on top of her birthday cake. The thing she wanted more than anything was a camera. It took her all of 2 minutes to take all 60 pictures.
I don't consider myself a "girly, girl" so it seems to me strange that my daughter is a "girly, girl." I despise washing and doing my hair. I only put make-up on when I really have to. Pony tails are my best friends. I can't stand having long nails. My favorite clothes are my pajamas. So how did she get this way? She loves brushing her hair. Matter of fact, she loves even putting on wigs. She taught herself how to braid. All she wanted for her birthday was make-up, even though she already has a ton of it. Her big birthday present was her own vanity. We're not talking about a little plastic vanity, but a real teenager vanity. All equipped with fancy perfume, and all kinds of fancy boxes etc to put all of her jewelry in. She loved it!
Thanks to Delaney and Bryn Hilton we were able to pull off "Salon Night" and the girls had a blast.

Gabby decided that for her 5th birthday she wanted all of her friends and herself to go to a salon and have their nails, toe nails and hair done. So we compromised and all of her friends came over to the house and we had "Salon Night." And then we took a bunch of pictures.

Grandma Marla and the grandkids

It was so great to have grandma come and help with the new baby. Everyone had a great time playing cards all night and eating a lot of junk food. It was especially great for Nicole because she could just wake grandma up in the middle of the night to take the baby and she'd go back to bed. We sure do miss grandma.
Gabby sure does love her new baby brother. Too bad that he has already punched her in the face and given her a bruise on her cheek.

All the cute Sampson kids. All from the same cookie cutter. It's a pretty good cutter.

The nurses at the hospital were all taking bets on what the W. stood for. Most of them thought we had named him after the president George W. Bush. They were disappointed to find out it was for Warren, just a family name. They also didn't find the humor in knowing that there was a Mormon prophet named this. It's kind of our Mormon inside joke. I hope Spencer has a good sense of humor.

Happy New Year!

Instead of watching the "ball drop" we watched a stunt show that was done on the Vegas strip. The boys were definately more interested in cars doing stunts than Dick Clark doing the countdown.

Giving Spencer some love...

At midnight all of the kids went outside to do sparklers....it was COLD!
